There is a house I dream about sometimes, a house that does not exist in reality but is made up in the dream. It is usually empty and not entirely finished. Some walls, wallpapers and doors still need to be installed, and as it is empty of course it needs furniture and decorations, but it seems overall like a beautiful house full of potential. I always only dream about the second floor. I have never been to the first floor. This time when dreaming about the house I actually got to see the first floor and it was fully decorated and had furniture. The second floor, which is also the top floor, also had som furniture. I also decided to take down one of the walls near one of the windows and planned for a cosy space with sofas to enjoy watching the the falling snow through the beautiful window when winter comes. I was so surprised when I woke up cause this house has always been empty before!
Dreams about houses often symbolize the self or the dreamer’s psyche. Each room or floor can represent different aspects of your life or personality, with the house itself serving as a representation of your mind and emotions. Your recurring dream of an unfinished house speaks to your sense of potential and the aspects of your life that may feel incomplete or in the process of development.
Initially, the fact that you had only visited the second floor suggests that your focus has primarily been on your aspirations, dreams, and perhaps the more creative or higher aspects of your life—spiritual growth, ambitions, or personal goals. The second floor typically represents higher consciousness and intellect, an area where dreams and ideas can flourish, but the unfinished state of this space indicates that there may have been feelings of incompleteness or stagnation regarding these aspects.
The breakthrough you experienced in this dream by encountering the fully decorated first floor signifies a significant shift. This time, you accessed another level of your consciousness that had been previously unexamined. The fact that it was decorated and furnished suggests that you are now beginning to embrace and acknowledge the foundational aspects of your life as crucial to your growth. This could represent your core values, relationships, or a sense of security and comfort that needs to be recognized and nurtured.
Your intention to take down a wall near the window reflects a desire to create more open, inviting spaces in your life—both literally and figuratively. Walls often symbolize barriers or limitations, so your decision to remove one may indicate that you are actively seeking to eliminate obstacles that prevent you from experiencing joy or seeing the beauty in your surroundings. The image of planning a cozy space to watch the snow through a window can signify a longing for comfort, reflection, and the appreciation of life’s seasonal changes. Snow can symbolize purity, tranquility, or a period of dormancy or rest, and your desire to enjoy it from inside a warm, welcoming space suggests you may be seeking ways to indulge in moments of peace and contemplation.
Overall, this dream may represent a substantial personal growth phase where you are moving from a state of potential to realization. You are taking active steps toward acknowledging not only your dreams but also the foundational elements of your life that support those aspirations. This dream suggests that you are beginning to harmonize your higher aspirations (the second floor) with practical, foundational aspects (the first floor), allowing for a holistic approach to your personal development and emotional well-being. Embrace this new phase of your life and the ever-expanding potential that lies within your own psyche!
